It has come to my attention over recent weeks and months that company after company are going bust in the print and Direct mail industry. Of course it’s the global recession that’s to blame for this terrible state of affairs. And I really do feel for the people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. However it seems that well run smaller businesses are managing to ride out the storm. By not letting themselves get dragged into technology wars and over spending on the latest colour printers or enclosing machines; tying up vital capital. These companies should be applauded for their prudence by making sure there is still an industry to come through the other side of this terrible melt down.
So don’t let things in the papers get you down there are small business out there keeping their ends up! See you on the other side!!

Couldn’t agree more on this point. As a smaller business we have been wise to over spending in the last few years. Yes we have new technology, but we haven’t borrowed any money to purchase the equipment, thus having no debt.
There are companies out there that have been spending vast amounts of money over the last few years to look the best, but forgot all about servicing their clients and keeping an eye on the books!!!
