Case Study – Ehrman Tapestry

Ehrman Tapestry, famous for it’s superior quality needlepoint kits, employ Uni-Mail to fulfil a number of seasonal brochure mailings throughout the year.

We offered Ehrman Tapestrty our “Mailsort Makeover” service so that we could have a look at the way their mailings were being posted to see if we could improve their postage costs and service.

We reviewed samples of their material and checked it against the criteria of all the existing mailsort services.

We identified extra postal savings which could be achieved with no change to the format of their existing brochure, which was important to the client.

This was achievable at no cost to Ehrman Tapestry.

An accreditation process is required for this service by Royal Mail to assess both the quality of the data and the quality of the mailpiece for the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) process.

Uni-Mail handled every stage of the accreditation process ; completing all the forms, checking the data sample, producing the OCR print test samples,dealing directly with the accreditation centre and liasing with Ehrman’s Royal Mail Account manager through to successful completion.

We have recently processed their first live job using the new service and we have achieved an annual extra saving on postage costs of over £2700.00 on top of the original mailsort savings, taking the total up to nearly £10,000 in a year !
